IMCHC's Annual Meeting

Registration is officially open for IMCHC’s Annual Meeting in Chicago! On Tuesday, June 11, we are honored to have Anne Filipic, President, Enroll America, talk to our field about plans to enroll millions of un- and under-insured persons into insurance plans as we work to fully implement the Affordable Care Act.

Additionally, at the Annual Meeting, we are pleased to award three deserving individuals for their work to improve the health of women, children, and families in Illinois:

Dr. Garry Gardner Health Care Provider Award
Carrie Klima, Associate Professor - Women, Children and Family Health Sciences, UIC College of Nursing

Loretta Lacey Maternal & Child Health Advocacy Awardees
Community Advocate:
Nancy Maruyama, Executive Director – Education and Community Outreach
Sudden Infant Death Services of Illinois, Inc.

Researcher:
Roderick (Eric) Jones, Director of the Epidemiology and Public Health Informatics Program
Chicago Department of Public Health

Please help us congratulate our awardees and learn important outreach strategies we all can use to enroll our clients into health insurance plans in 2014 and beyond.

IMCHC, Health & Disability Advocates, and the Sargent Shriver National Center on Poverty Law recently co-hosted an ACA briefing for organizations that serve immigrants and refugees. Presentations, materials and resources from the May 14 event can be downloaded from IMCHC’s website.

Thank you to our sponsors with the DePaul University Masters of Public Health Program, the Lloyd A Fry Foundation, the VNA Foundation, Community Memorial Foundation, and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois for sponsoring the event.
